The project had a small open space and landscaping area to specialize in its own rest and landscaping, while linear parks that run through subway stations were connected. We further expanded the view and defined it as the concept of a drawing room throughout the surrounding residential complex. As a drawing room in the city, the image of the connection with the park and the relationship between pedestrians and vehicle users was interpreted as an everyday unusual space that inspires users by interpreting the character with the keyword of non routine.

We have observed a trend towards smaller residential areas that individuals enjoy exclusively, and the high density of workspaces they encounter on their way to work. To address this, we have expanded the concept of a drawing room by providing residents living in a small, exclusive space with a comfortable environment on a high floor, and creating a large middle ground where they can relax, similar to their own courtyard. Furthermore, the intention was to elicit feelings of frustration and mundanity in daily life through unconventional experiences by incorporating public-like elements such as floor fountains and swivels to facilitate natural movement by park visitors.

The Jingeon district in Dasan-dong, Gyeonggi-do, is situated in a convenient urban living area that allows for easy access to Seoul within 20 minutes via Dasan Station. This station is located on the extension of Subway Line 8, providing a direct connection to the central transportation network. Additionally, it has a total of approximately 30,000 households in the surrounding area, including the adjacent district. It is a crucial point of contact with parks, central district roads, and commercial facilities, particularly within the central commercial district. Construction began in August 2021 and is currently underway with the aim of completion in April 2024.

Neighborhood shopping centres in residential buildings are being expanded and made more complex, with themed designs being introduced at the same time. The exterior design and functional programs have been noted for their ability to provide convenience to tenants and nearby consumers. For instance, the residents living behind the neighbourhood were given a direct route to the commercial facility or the park, enabling them to enter the shopping mall naturally and relax. This approach aims to foster an organic relationship and establish the mall as a communal space in the city, revitalising the community.

Regarding the first floor, the potential space was affected by customers entering from the roadside, while those entering from the park were greeted by a rotating swing and a floor fountain. Attraction elements were placed at both entrances to entice visitors. Additionally, a house garden concept center was established in the center where children could play, run, and relax. If the first floor was a plan scenario considering the relationship between the redemption landscape and its surroundings, the second to fourth floors were designed to strengthen the connection between them. We aimed to enhance the non-daily experience through specialized design of the atrium section. To achieve this, we planned a large media pole across all floors to create a connected image throughout the building, making it a character within the environment. Additionally, we have planned to use dichroic film materials in the vertical movement sections of commercial facilities, such as escalators and elevators, to convey the intended concept. We also intend to use metal mirrors in the lower part of the residential building.
