Cheongnyangni Hanyang Sujain Gratte-Ciel | Art Forest(Mixed Use)
Art Forest has reinterpreted the indoor complex space as a comfortable and pleasant living room in the city, consisting of a clean white living room, courtyard, and garden. The design is functional and complements the existing complex and the surrounding environment. We planned to provide the relaxation, taste, and style that customers seek in their daily lives away from the office as a comfortable space rather than a flashy space. In addition, the connection between artwork and indoor and outdoor landscaping elements in a large living space in the city allows users to stay comfortably and relax.

Landscape(Indoor)
To enhance users' experience of the underdeveloped environment of decades-old traditional markets nearby and differentiate it from newly developed large shopping malls, a small indoor shopping mall measuring only 30,000 m² was created. It was designed to be a common living room for nearby residents. The space includes a living room adorned with artwork, a yard featuring a 3,300 m² garden, and a charming courtyard. Its purpose is to serve as a communal area for local residents, providing them with a pleasant and convenient shopping experience.
To improve users' awareness of the places they have visited and prevent them from getting lost in the shopping mall, an alternative to the centralized radial line and circulation line of the inner shopping center was developed. To improve users' awareness of the places they have visited and prevent them from getting lost in the shopping mall, an alternative to the centralized radial line and circulation line of the inner shopping center was developed. The street behind the central square was divided into four distinct areas, each with its own unique character.
Rest areas and artwork are located around the escalators on each floor in the central area, providing users with convenient places to take a break. The interior is predominantly white and receives natural light from the skylight. The illumination inside the store is intentionally brighter than the surrounding areas, making it stand out. The shopping mall features long hallways, and lighting has been installed to guide movement. The shopping mall's interior space features understated design, artwork, and a comfortable resting area for users.
The landscape is thoughtfully arranged to ensure that the density and height of each tree type do not obstruct the mall's façade while providing ample shade for the rest area. The text has been edited to adhere to the desired characteristics of objectivity, comprehensibility, conventional structure, clear and objective language, format, formal register, structure, balance, precise word choice, and grammatical correctness. No changes in content have been made. The landscape is thoughtfully arranged to ensure that the density and height of each tree type do not obstruct the mall's façade while providing ample shade for the rest area.
For customers who use strollers, we have planned floor fading that harmonises with the planting plan. Additionally, we have included outdoor furniture in the rest area.
The Art Forest consists of a large and comfortable living room-like atmosphere with public landscaping, artwork, and indoor landscaping that neutralizes the underdeveloped surrounding environment. The intention was to minimize the style and decoration of the interior to highlight the various aspects of the stores, and to enhance the level of the resting experience with artwork and big pot landscaping. Through our experience, we wanted to create a differentiated brand for indoor shopping malls.
